Brian Leman, DVM

Dr. Leman, a native of the Charleston lowcountry, joined the Eastside team in October of 2011. He graduated from the University of St. Georges, Grenada in 2010. He did clinical studies at UGA, NC State, and Charleston Veterinary Specialists. He has worked in a mixed animal practice and for the Charleston Humane Society, giving him a broad range of experience. He brings excellent GP knowlege to EAH, but prides himself on his soft tissue and orthopedic surgery skills.

Dr. Leman recently bought a home in Spartanburg where he plans to lay roots.  He has fallen in love with the Upstate and enjoys the many outdoor activities available.  His two rescued pets "Lucy", a black cat and "Hank", a Boykin Spaniel enjoy their new living situation as well.

David M. Dawkins II, DVM, MADS

Dr. Dawkins a Greenville, SC native received his Bachelors of Science degree in Animal and Dairy Science from The University of Georgia. After attaining his BS he went on to earn a Masters degree in Animal and Dairy Science at UGA with a focus in nutrition. After completion of his Masters degree Dr. Dawkins achieved a Doctorate of Veterinary Medicine at the University of Georgia.

Dr. Dawkins welcomes all aspects of veterinary medicine and has a heightened interest in surgery, dentistry, neurology and preventive medicine. His goal is provide the highest level of treatment and care for his patients at all times.

When not at the office Dr. Dawkins can be found at home in the kitchen or garden, with his family, or tending to the needs of his own pets, Ginger, the Cat, and Francois, the Dog.

Mallie King, Office Manager

Mallie is a Spartanburg native who has been preparing for this particular job for 35 years.  You might know her as the first Iditarod Teacher on the Trail, as she travelled the State making Alaska come alive for South Carolina students. She considers her greatest accomplishment to be her two children- daughter Elizabeth is a veterinary student in the Class of 2018 at the University of Georgia.  Son, Hamilton, graduated from Georgia in May 2014.

Gina has worked in the veterinary profession since 2000 and has been at this practice since 2005.  She loves working with animals and people.  Married to Jim for over 20 years they have one son, Tyler and a dog, Bandit.  In her free time she loves to karaoke and sing gospel tunes.

Ann has waited her whole life to be in animal care.  She feels like she is where she belongs! Married to Lee, they have 2 girls and 2 dogs that they adore.

Kathy has been working at Eastside Animal Hospital since 2011.  She completed a certified Veterinary Assistant Program at Greenville Tech.  She has greatly enjoyed making caring for animals her life.

Adam has been a part of our family at Eastside Animal Hospital since 2010.  2015 proved to be a life changing year for Adam, getting married and adding a child to the family.  Adam's dreams remain steadfast, to attend a veterinary school and become a loving, caring and compassionate doctor.
